  • Reginald Kelly was the youngest of 5 boys

    He married Veronica (Ronnie) Casey on December 23rd 1939, they had 2 sons

    He worked at the New Zealand Herald until the early 1960's when he took up a new position at New Zealand Distillers Company where he remained until retirement.

    Member of NZ 8th Brigade when it captured Mono Island, part of the Soloman Islands, in October 1943, he was also among the soldiers who overran a Japanese position in the jungle, seizing the mountain gun.
