  • Initially joined the Army but transferred to the RNZAF in late 1942. Served in Burma and from Burma went to Australia still with the RAF Transport Command until Easter 1946.

    Was one of the co-founders of SPANZ which was the airline that introduced the first in-flight meals on regional routes in NZ AWMM
