  • John Henry Sharp was promoted on the field and attended officer training at Cambridge University. On arriving back in New Zealand he led a reinforcment back overseas. Details of this second embarkation from New Zealand are as follows: Left NZ - 2 March 1918 in the ship "Tofua" with the 35 Reinforcements, Army Service Corps, his rank now Second Lieutenant.
