The letters cover the period from August 1916, with Alexander's entry into Trentham Military Camp, to late December 1917, with his descriptions of life and experiences at the Western Front in France. [Ref. MS 92/70]Founder of the Pokuru Golf Club. The Stewart Alexander Golf and Country Club was named after him in honour of his long involvement and contribution to the Pokuru farming district.
