    In 1964 he married and had 3 children.

    11 Reinforcements: The troopship "Mooltan" was in Wellington. Training was stepped up. Issue of 'Middle East' clothing plus 'sea-kits' was made. "Mooltan" sailed late in the afternoon , 17 January 1944. The voyage was long and the troopship stopped at the following ports: Hobart, Tasmania, Freemantle, Perth, Bombay Harbour, India , then Aden and then on to Port Tewfik, Egypt where they disembarked.
