Gordon Thomas Wright
Gordon Wright was my grandfather. I am here because he risked his life at Gallipoli on the beaches. He made it back wounded physically and mentally. He was 18 years old at the time.

Gosh I didn't know how much of your life you gave to keeping New Zealand safe during the War. You didn't talk about this to us, your grandchildren. I suppose it is a time in your life when it is not something you would want to remember. Thank you Gaddy. Debbie

Loving memories by the only surviving child (one of five), Patricia Sara Margaret, of Gordon Thomas and his wife Alma Frances - married in 1920. A hard working father, who never missed a dawn service until his crippling stroke in the mid 1960s. Ever loyal to his country, Gordon also served in W.W.2 as an instructor W.O.1. Gordon: 18/10/1895 - 28/01/1971

Thank-you,dear Gaddy for your bravery; I didn't know that you had embarked twice to fight for NZ's freedom.
I'm remembering you, especially, this Anzac Day, 100 years on.
