  • George Talmay was the son of William and Alice Talmay of Sussex, and the husband of Caroline Talmay of Brighton, United Kingdom.

    Talmay died of heat exhaustion during action in Aden. The Philomel had been ordered there to strengthen the defense after the Turks had driven the British into the town. AWMM
