My Great-Grandfather (Horace) was Andrew's Brother. The family remember a little about Horace and we have photos of him. We too are lucky to have Horace's medals. I would be interested to make contact with Mark (other contributor) if he is willing.

Uncle Andrew was my Grandmothers cousin and lived with her for many years in Glen Eden, Auckland. He died in 1988. Uncle Andrew was a funny old man who would drive my Nana bonkers with his antics. I remember tea time around the table he would imitate a fire engine for us kids. We thought it was funny!. Uncle Andrew worked for the Glen Eden Borough Council almost to the day he died. His brother Horace is a distant memory but also lived with my Nana. We are lucky to have a number of commemorative medals from the 1st war as well as a train ticket from Apperville dated 31/8/1918.
