      CAREERS OP THE FALLEN. LANCE-CORP. A. M. L. ARMSTRONG. Mr. T. S. Armstrong, of Titirangi, : has received official notice that his son, Lance-Corporal A. M. L. Armstrong, of the Auckland Mounted Rifles, has been dangerously wounded. Lance-Corporal Armstrong was born at Titirangi. He left with the Sixth Reinforcements at the age of 20. He comes of a soldier family, as his father, grandfather, and greatgrandfather were "born in the Army." His grandfather, on the death of his father in India, at the age of 11 entered the "drums and fifes" of the old Fighting 40th. and his three brothers followed him.
