  • I remember the time I visited for an afternoon and you shared with me about your time at Gallipoli and how you caught malaria. I remember you telling me that you were shipped off in an Australian warship and the nurse (male)looking after you on the ship didn't give you your daily tot of rum and kept it for himself! I also remember you telling me that it wasn't your country you thought about fighting for at the time but your mates along side you. I wish we had talked more.
