  • In loving memory of our grandfather who served in the great war , was decorated for bravery at Passchendaele with the Military Medal. He somewhow managed to survive unlike too many of his friends and comrades and returned to Tasman, Nelson to work the family orchard. He died at age 86 in 1982 having led a long happy married life leaving a wife, three children and eight grandchildren. We are deeply honoured to have known him and to have been a part of his life . We have visited the battlefields in France and Gallipoli and Belgium where he served and paid our respects to him and his fallen friends and comrades.
