  • Transferred from NZEF Gunner NZ Field Artillery 3/11/1916 - He had served in Gallipoli & France, joined RNR HMS LOUVIAN torpedoed 20 January 1918 224 killed near Athens, Greece - transferred to minesweeper Lynn - known as 'Jack' discharged from the RN on 23 September 1919 - some confusion as to name - some records have Roy, but he does not use this. Reported as serving in HMS Lynn in September 1918 AWMM
