  • Son of Margaret Riddell (also spelled as Riddle) (nee Ballantyne) Baker and Edward Baker.

    Wife of Gladys May nee Anderson.

    Two sons, served in WW1, brothers Wiri Aurunui Baker (1/183) and Edward George Huia Baker (3/1297)

    Served in New Zealand for 2 days before being sent overseas for 80 days.

    Embarked to New Zealand from hospital suffering from pleurisy.

    A fine soccer player he was also an exceptional cricketer playing for Midland, as a representative for Wellington and for the Black Caps during the 1920's and 30's.

    Member of the Welleslyan, Central Mission Silver Band playing the euphonium.
