    Admitted to Hornchurch Hospital from leave, 4 July 1917 (scabies); to Codford on leave, 5 August 1917.
    Joined Western Frontier Force, 21 November 1915.
    Relinquished appointment of Cook, 19 December 1915.
    Found guilty, 10 January 1916, of while on Active Service without urgent necessity quitting the ranks: awarded forfeiture of 1 day's pay.
    Transferred to Otago Infantry Regiment, 23 March 1916, and posted to 4th Company, 2nd Bn.
    Embarked Alexandria to join the British Expeditionary Force, France, 9 April 1916.
    Admitted to hospital, 4 June 1916; rejoined unit, 9 June 1916.
