  • Albert Bark was the son of Albert and Mary Bark, 35 Westferry Road, London, United Kingdom. His father was born in London and his mother was born in Granton, Scotland.

    On 27 April 1916 Albert married Miss Mary Ellen Purvis in Wellington. The officiating minister was Rev Dr Elliott. The couple had two children: Marie Cissy, born in Christchurch on 29 April 1917 and Joan Elizabeth, born in Wellington on 20 May 1920.

    Seconded from the Permanent Force to the Expeditionary Force (Samoa)

    Returned to new Zealand from Samoa on the Talune

    Rejoined RNZA 22 March 1915

    Posted to the NZEF 6 February 1917

    Rejoined RNZA 18 September 1919
