  • Hi,
My name is Grace Stammers,on the 100th Anniversary of Anzac Day my daughter bought me a Poppy from Penrith New South Wales Australia where she purchased 10,I had a choice and I happened to pick Stanley Barnard,1st World War died 26th July 1916,he has been in my collectors cabinet all this time when I decided to research him,I found that he was a teacher and died only a month after he enlisted with the Australian Army.I am so glad that I did the search as I now know a lot about this brave man,I know his mother was Mary Walker as it states that on his Army record,I just wanted to let any family that he has or family members that he is remembered on this day, also his name will be displayed on the outside of the Australian Hall of Remembrance this evening at 9.30 pm. My email address is [email protected] if anyone would like to contact me.I live in Queensland Australia
