    COLLAPSE IN STREET, ARMY OFFICER'S DEATH - A returned soldier of the last war, now serving as a motor transport officer, Lieutenant John Beaver, MM, aged 50, collapsed and died about 7.20 this morning near the Auckland Harbour Board's workshops in Quay Street, city. His wife is Mrs. Maud Beaver, of 16, Eltham Road Kohimarama. An inquest was opened this afternoon and adjourned after evidence of identification had been taken.
