  • Francis (by then known as Frank) died in the Mater Misercordiae Hospital, New Zealand on 10 Mar 1966, aged 79, & was cremated at Purewa on 12 Mar 1966. A plaque in his memory was later installed at Waikumete Cemetery, Auckland, by the Returned Soldiers Association.
