His address prior to leaving for WW1 was The Mental Hospital, Seacliff, Otago where he was a psychiatrist.Henry married Louie Alexa McNei in 4 February 1920. She died on 9 May 1942.His second wife Margaret Inman came out from UK in 1941 as the first Occupational Therapist in the country. He married her in early 1950s. Born in Dunham on 31 Dec 1911, she died on 8 May 2002.Dr Buchanan had no children (The above biographical detail was provided by a Public source, 11/07/15).Dr. Buchanan was involved in treating author Robin Hyde (real name, Iris Guiver Wilkinson).
