  • He was my maternal grandfather. As a young boy I travelled with him on the train as he had a pass.
    I remember he always had the same breakfast. Tea ,hard cheese and toast
    He was active in the disabled servicemen’s organisation and hosted the Queen with my mother when she visited the workshops they had in Christchurch
