AWMM George was a twin brother to John Henry Dines, who also served in WW1, in the Canterbury Mounted Rifles, Serviice Number 7/39, ranks being Sergeant and 2nd Lt. as part of the 37th Reinforcements, Mounted Rifle Brigade. Sustained a chest wound on Hill 60, Gallipoli 26th August 1915 and evacuated to Alexandria Egypt.
