Hugh Thomas Carswell
One of three uncles who served in WW1. Brothers Norman killed at Gallipoli 8th May 1915, George Killed in France 16th May 1918. Uncle Hugh served 3 years and 337 days. An Uncle who died 20th February 1935 a few years before I was born. Hugh was one of 9 children born to John William and Catherine Jane Carswell.
A family who's sons contributed much in the both World Wars. Be it overseas or in New Zealand Reserves. So Proud of them and those who I never had the privilege to meet. We Will Remember You.
