    Wounded in action, 24 June 1916 (shrapnel wound, upper arm), and admitted to No 1 NZ Field Ambulance; transferred to No 2 Stationary Hospital; to England, 28 June 1916, and admitted to County of Middlesex War Hospital, Napsbury, 28 June 1916.
    Attached to Convalescent Camp, Hornchurch, 3 August 1916; to NZ Command Depot, Codford, 5 September 1916; to Reserve Group, Sling Camp, 8 October 1916.
    Proceeded overseas to France, 10 October 1916, and attached to NZ Base Depot, Etaples, 11 October 1916. Rejoined Bn, in the field, 26 October 1916.
    On leave, 14 November 1917; rejoined unit from leave, 29 November 1917.
    Commenced return to New Zealand from Southampton, 8 March 1919; disembarked Wellington, 15 April 1919; discharged, 13 May 1919.
