    Disembarked Suez, 20 December 1915.
    Proceeded overseas to France, 7 April 1916.
    Found guilty, 26 July 1916, of using threatening language to an NCO: awarded 7 days' Field Punishment No 2.
    Found guilty, 22 December 1916, of while on Active Service absenting himself from duty before being relieved by picket: forfeited 3 days' pay.
    Transferred to 2nd Bn, Wellington Infantry Regiment, 12 February 1917.
    Found guilty, 22 May 1917, of being absent without leave from the training ground during training hours from 1 pm until 2.15 pm, 22 May 1917: forfeited 2 days' pay.
    Admitted to 7th Convalescent Depot, 3 October 1917 (gonorrhoea); transferred to 51st General Hospital, Rouen, 4 October 1917; discharged to Base Depot, 2 December 1918.
    Marched out to England, 30 December 1918.
    Commenced return to New Zealand on board 'Hororata', 15 March 1919; discharged, 13 April 1919.
    Total war service: 3 years 179 days (of which 3 years 123 days were abroad).
