  • Charles had two brothers who served in WWI: Edwin Bartlett (Bart), who served with the AIF as quartermaster sergeant; and Henry Masterton Clark, who served at Gallipoi and rose from corporal to major. His album of photos taken in the UK while convalescing is now held at Waiouru Army Museum. Charles has two service numbers: 4/335 and 2/2793
