  • He was the only son of Clement & Frances Margaret Jane CLEAVER (nee Dallard), from Waipu. His father was born in Lincolnshire and came to NZ in about 1888. The family settled in Waipu. He had two sisters – Alice & Juanita. In 1925, he married Amy Lucy DAVY.

    His brother-in-law served with the NZEF - James Sloane (13/2914) Public - Sandra - Researcher - 2 December 2018 - Waipu Museum

On June 6, at his residence, 18 Bracken Avenue, Takapuna, dearly loved brother of Alice Cleaver and Nita (Mrs James Sloane). A service will be held at W. H. Tongue and Sons Chapel at 11am, Thursday, funeral then leaving for Waikumete Crematorium. No flowers by request.
