    • Son of John Stroyan Donnan and Marie Louise Donnan, of "Euroka", Gipps St., Drummoyne, Sydney, New South Wales.

      Mr Donnan was a master at Seddon Memorial Technical College in Auckland.

      Remembered at Pukekohe Intermediate School, with Memorial stones & loving memory roses.

    • Arthur Victor Donnan won a scholarship to attend the diploma Course a Hawkesbury Agricultural College in Syney, NSW. He represented the college in both shooting and rugby. After graduating third in his class he then worked as an experimentalist at Hawkesbury Agricultural College and then went on to become a lecturer in agriculture. He then took up a post at Yanco Irrigation Settlement. In 1913 Arthur wasappointed Instructor of Agriculture under the Board of Education and later enrolled in a Bachelor of Science in Agriculure at Aukland University College.   • There is a details of Arthur Donnan's life at Hawkesbury Agricultural College which is now the University of Western Sydney. He had a very distinguished career before joining the New Zealand Expeditionary Force. He was an expert rifleman

    It is noted he was wounded on the 7th of June 1917, was unfortunately stranded in no man's land for 48 hours and when retrieved died from his wounds. It is believed it was Messines Ridge where he was wounded.

    He was a Recipient of the Military Cross for distinguished service
