  • Great Grandad Clarence. Although you were unable to ever meet your son Basil, your name and legacy lives on through him, my dad Douglas, myself Steve and my son Cameron. We are very proud of you and we also have a photo of you in our lounge that we see every day. Unfortunately you were killed in the last battle of the war on 30th August 1918 which will be a very special day my family will be remembering in 2018. Lest We Forget.

  • Granddad I remember you everyday but especially 25.04.2015 I am honoured and privileged to have your photos and medals and I will treasure them always. Each ANZAC day service I will wear them proudly. The photo of you in your uniform hangs in our hallway reminding me everyday how fortunate I am to be here. Your Granddaughter Jill Armstrong-Wood
