  • By the hand of fate and the madness of war I never got to meet you Great Uncle. I imagine like your siblings, those I knew and loved and will always, you would have had the great Doole wit, sharpness of mind and can do matter of factness that was evident in them all. Your youngest sister, my Nan wasn't born when your life was taken. She passed away 16 months ago the last of your siblings to go and I like to think that maybe your all hanging together, laughing, pain free, sharing yarns. RIP great uncle you and your family paid the highest price for war.
