  • Percy Douglas was my great uncle but of course he died well before I was born. He was a single man and so his death was mourned by his mother, sister and brothers, two of whom also went to war. He is buried in France although there is a memorial in Dannevirke on his father's gravesite. As one who made the ultimate sacrifice of his life, I wish to remember him.
