Arthur James Crapp
James Arthur Crapp was the son of Sidney Cecil Crapp and Oriwa Hoera my Great Grandparents he was born in Opotiki Bay of Plenty in 1886 he had fifteen brothers and sisters and he was older brother of my Grandmother Riria Arapera Crapp or Lily Fairs.
James had no children and he died in France he is buried there. He was only 24 years old when he passed away fighting for our country during WW1.
His brother Harry Crapp also fought overseas during WW1 he passed away after returning to New Zealand.
It was ironic that he died in France as this is where his father came from.
He will always be remembered by our Whanau.
Rest in Peace my Great Uncle.
