    Admitted to No 4 NZ Field Ambulance, 26 September 1917 (diarrhoea), and transferred same day to 4th Casualty Clearing Station; discharged to duty, 4 October 1917; marched in to NZ Base Depot, Etaples, 6 October 1917.
    Transferred to 1st Bn, Otago Infantry Regiment, 20 October 1917; joined Bn, in the field, 11 November 1917, and posted to 4th Company.
    Wounded in action, 3 December 1917 (left toe); rejoined unit, 26 December 1917.
    Admitted to No 4 NZ Field Ambulance, 19 January 1918 (myalgia); discharged to Reinforcements Camp, 26 January 1918; rejoined unit, in the field, 22 February 1918.
