  • Henry was my paternal grandfather. I was only 15 when Henry died but remember him clearly as a child growing & spending time at 'Pop' & Narnies place in Waiuku. He would never talk about his involvement in WW1 to us grandkids which in later years, I would have loved to know some of the experiences he had as a soldier during that period.

  • Henry was my maternal grandfather, unfortunately I wasn't able to see much of him during my life time but the the most enjoyable period was in 1968 when I was on leave from the army in Waiouru and was able to stay with him and Narnie in Waiuku.
    Public - Philip - Direct descendant - 26 September 2020
  • One of the first five men to leave Waiuku for the Great War. We remember and respect them.
    Public - William John - Researcher - 30 March 2015
