  • George Alexander Dolphin (3/2054), John Forrester (3/1018), Thomas William Parsons (3/1184) and William Roy Robson (3/1082) carried a stretcher case across no-mans-land under fire during the second phase of the 1916 Big Push on the Somme. This incident is described in the William Robson's diary in late September 1916, a copy of which is held in the Auckland War Memorial Museum Library. AWMM
