    Posted to Otago Mounted Rifles Regiment, Mudros, 3 October 1915.
    Disembarked Alexandria, 25 December 1915 (general Gallipoli evacuation).
    Transferred to 4th Brigade Ammunition Column, 11 March 1916.
    Embarked Alexandria to join the British Expeditionary Force, 5 April 1916.
    Admitted to No 2 NZ Field Ambulance, 6 December 1916, and transferred to Casualty Clearing Station; to 3rd Canadian General Hospital, Boulogne, 8 December 1916 (lobar pneumonia).
    Died of disease, 16 December 1916 (broncho-pneumonia).

  • In loving memory of my grandmothers eldest brother. He was one of 3 brothers killed in WW1. I have in my procession his pay book, postcards sent from the front and photos. We will never forget.
