    Served with Colonel MacKenzie's Column as Chief Medical Officer, 3rd M.I.) April and May 1902 taking part with General Bruce Hamilotn's columns in Transvaal and Orange River Colony.

    Listed at Archives New Zealand as FRAZER-HURST, Joseph Livingston - [a.k.a. FRAZER, Joseph Livingston]

    Two of his sons served in WW2, Terence Simon Frazerhurst (2670) and Conan Frazerhurst (31154).

    Member of the South African War Veterans' Association, Tauranga. Holding in 1939 the position as a vice president.

    In 1940 he relinquished his position as Superintendent to Whakatane Hospital.

    Served in South Africa as Frazer-Hurst. Married as Frazer-Hurst. Served WW1 as Frazerhurst, changed name by deed poll 1926 to Frazer. SA medals: Queen's Medal and 3 clasps TR, OR. Marama then transfer to Moldavia for Suez. Ship name "Marama" from The Evening Post, May 23, 1915 listing the nurses and officers on the passenger list. Transfer to Moldavia. AWMM
