  • Farquhar McCrae Gilmore - b c Dec 1867 St Lawrence, Ramsgate, Kent, England, son of Rev John Gilmore, Rector of Holy Trinity, Ramsgate b 1830 London, d 1896 Maldon, Essex and Jane Farquhar McCrae or Morison b 1838 Campsie, NE of Glasgow ?, Scotland, d 1880 W Norwood, Surrey. Father remarried Jemima Mary Stuart Bruce in 1887. Farquhar had 4 brothers and 4 sisters and he left England sometime before the April 1891 census. The Gilmore family hailed from Pill, N Somerset, England, just west of Bristol and were a family of waterman and Bristol Channel Pilots going back at least into the 16th century and probably before. Farquhar probably never married and died Jan - March 1947 Poole, Dorset, England
