  • Following a 30 year search to trace my ancestors, I have recently made a significant breakthrough and discovered our ancestors dating back to 1746. Edward Thomas Harrison is my Grandfather who was married to Te Anie Te Pui Puhera on March 29, 1900. My father Henry William Harrison was born on February 21, 1901 and was the only child born in this relationship which only lasted two years before Te Anie went off to live with Maori people. On his return from active service Edward Thomas Harrison was granted a divorce in 1919 and he later remarried. I am grateful to my grandfather for his service to his country and I look forward to discovering more about his activities both pre and post war service. Rest in peace.
