    • William Espie was the brother of John H. K. Espie, of York Plains, Tasmania, Australia. AWMM
    • William Campbell Espie was the eldest son of John Edward Espie ( 1829 -1896 d.Oatlands, Tasmania) and Anne Brock. He was born in Brighton, Tasmania on 1 Jul 1879. Three ESPIE brothers settled in Tasmania in the early 1820s forming a firm "Robert, George and John Espie" with the most influential being a Naval Surgeon Robert Espie.
