  • Researching Kildare Anzacs. Going to Flanders this November for information and to visit those graves that I can find of 'my' men and photograph them. So far from their adopted homes, they are not forgotten in Ireland either. I had an Anzac uncle, wounded out of Paschendaele but survived to live in Queensland till his 80's, marry and have a family. He was one of the lucky ones and has sparked my interest as an emigrant (pre war) as we have so many Irish going 'down under' these days, my own son included for 8 years before he came home. He did love NZ!
