      Also served as Matron at Queen Mary Hospital, Christchurch

      Marama then transfer to Moldavia for Suez. Ship name "Marama" from The Evening Post, May 23, 1915 listing the nurses and officers on the passenger list. Transfer to Moldavia. AWMM
    • An oral history interview with Emily Hodges is available from the Alexander Turnbull Library. It discusses her experiences as a nurse trainee in 1907, her years as a nursing sister for the NZ army including the Marquette tragedy and post war work at Rotorua and Hamner where she was matron for 15 years.   • In memory of an amazing lady whose strength and forward thinking was always an inspiration to me. My aunt was an incredibly intelligent and empathetic woman, who was ahead of her time in so many ways. Love always, Felicity.
