Embarked Alexandria to join the Mediterranean Expeditionary Force (Gallipoli Campaign), 12 April 1915.
Admitted to HS 'Maheno', Gallipoli, 30 September 1915; transferred to NZ General Hospital, Cairo, 5 October 1915 (debility and septic sores); to NZ Convalescent Hospital, Saba Pasha, 28 October 1915; discharged to Base, Mustapha, 5 November 1915.
Rejoined unit, Gallipoli, 28 November 1915.
