  • Embarked Wellington, 11 October 1916; disembarked Plymouth, England, 29 December 1916, and marched in to Sling Camp.Proceeded overseas to France, 1 February 1917; marched in to Base Depot, Etaples, 5 February 1917.
    Joined 2nd Bn, Auckland Infantry Regiment, in the field, 22 February 1917.
    Wounded in action, 7 June 1917 (gun shot wound, back), and admitted to 9th Australian Field Ambulance, and transferred to No 2 Australian Casualty Clearing Station; to No 8 General Hospital, Rouen, 9 June 1917; to England, 15 June 1917, and admitted to No 1 NZ General Hospital, Brockenhurst, 16 June 1917; transferred to NZ Convalescent Hospital, Hornchurch, 22 June 1917; discharged to NZ Convalescent Depot, Codford, 27 June 1917; marched in to Sling Camp, 23 July 1917.
    Proceeded overseas to France, 20 August 1917; rejoined Bn, in the field, 11 October 1917.
    Killed in action, 2 May 1918.
