  • Reuben Farmer was the brother of Mr. T. Farmer, of Main St., Greytown, Wellington, New Zealand.

    Embarked Wellington, 31 May 1916; disembarked Devonport, England, 26 July 1916, and marched in to Sling Camp.
    Proceeded overseas to France, 20 October 1916; marched in to Base Depot, Etaples, 21 October 1916.
    Joined 2nd Bn, Wellington Infantry Regiment, in the field, 7 December 1916.
    Attached to Reinforcements Camp, Morbecque, 5 June 1917; rejoined Bn, 18 June 1917.
    On leave to United Kingdom, 13 September 1917; rejoined Bn, in the field, 24 September 1917.
    Killed in action, 4 October 1917.
