    Enlisted with British Section of the NZEF then transferred to new Zealand Engineers, 1st Field Company a month later

    Embarked for Gallipoli from Alexandria 12 April 1915.

    Two sons, brothers served in WW1: Thomas Culling Farrer (129, 4/129A) kia, and Matthew Roland Farrer (13/102, 13/1023).
