  • Thinking of my Great Uncle Alf's service while attending an Anzac sunset service in Perth. He returned debilitated. He never married. My father, his nephew, was born in 1911 and named Alfred. He served in WWII. Now two of his grandsons - this Alfred Jones's great great great nephews - have Alfred as their middle name. They are proud of their connection to an Anzac.
