    "DEATH FOLLOWS INJURIES.
    RUN OVER BY MOTOR-LORRY
    GREENWOOD'S CORNER ACCIDENT.
    The injuries received by Mr. Benjamin Jones in the cycling accident at Greenwood's Corner on Tuesday, had a fatal termination yesterday, Mr. Jones dying at the hospital shortly before two o'clock in the afternoon.

    Mr. Jones, on turning from Empire Road into Manukau Road lost his balance when trying to avoid a motor-lorry travelling in the same direction. He fell and rolled toward the lorry, the rear wheel of which crush one of his legs.

    Deceased, who was 36 (sic) years of age, resided in Kiwi Street, Edendale.

    Only surviving son of William John and the late Emma JONES of Mill Street, Onehunga."
