Disembarked Suez, 8 February 1916; joined 2nd Bn, Canterbury Infantry Regiment, 8 March 1916.
Embarked for France, 7 April 1916.
Found guilty, 19 August 1916, of being absent without leave from roll call, 17 August 1916: forfeited 7 days' pay.
Reported missing in action, 21 September 1916; Court of Enquiry, 31 March 1917, confirmed fate as killed in action, 21 September 1916.
