  • Sergeant George McAneny - of the Wellington Infantry Battalion - was captured by Turkish Forces on 8 August 1915 at Chunuk Bair, Gallipoli, Turkey.
    Sergeant McAneny was interned as a POW - of the Turkish - at Ismidt No 78, Constantinople, Turkey until the cessation of hostilities.
