      Alec was injured at Chunuk Bair and repatriated to New Zealand. When he was well enough he rejoined. Family say to the Otago Infantry but the Nominal Rolls indicate he embarked as Wellington Mounted Rifles

      Severely wounded at Passchendaele

      Served with Home Guard during WW2

      Error on the Nominal Roll, place of birth incorrect, correction made by family AWMM
    • Military record states that Alec was transferred to the 10th Battalion of 1st Otago Regiment on 19 May 1916. Public - Catherine - Other relative - 23 April 2020 - Military Personnel File (Statement of Services page)
